Costa Rican tree frog present in a bunch of Lidl bananas


A tree frog that originated from Costa Rica was present in a bunch of bananas at a of Lidl retailer in Nottinghamshire by workers on Sunday.

Hayley Day, RSPCA animal assortment officer mentioned, “The little tree frog was sat on prime of some bananas which workers had began to unload and placed on the cabinets.

“I managed to get him inside a field with moist tissue paper inside to maintain him moist.

“Employees appeared fairly taken with him and referred to as him Lloyd, he should have additionally had fairly the shock when he emerged in a Nottinghamshire grocery store contemplating he’s used to extra tropical climates.”

RSPCA Nottingham posted a photograph of the frog on Twitter saying, “This little chap has had a giant journey and has come all the best way from Costa Rica in a field of bananas to Lidl in Netherfield!

“This tree frog is at the moment being cared for by a vet with an curiosity in exotics!”
